West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has backed countryman Carlo Ancelotti to end Manchester United’s domination of The Premier League.
Ancelotti replaces Guus Hiddink at the Stamford Bridge helm, after completing a summer switch from Italian giants Milan.
The former Rossoneri boss is tasked with ending Manchester United’s three-year reign as Premier League champions and Zola belives he is just the man for the job.
“For Carlo it’s an opportunity to start over. He will have enormous motivation and with his skills and Chelsea’s means he can do well, very well,” Zola told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“And he can break Manchester United’s dominance, making The Premier League more interesting.”
