Crystal Palace have completed the signing of West Ham striker Freddie Sears on a season-long loan.
Neil Warnock this week confirmed his interest in taking Sears to Selhurst Park but conceded that other clubs were vying for the player’s signature.
Sheffield Wednesday and Championship new boys Peterborough have both previously been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old but will now find themselves up against him next season.
Gianfranco Zola first revealed his intention to farm Sears out at the end of last season in a bid to give him first-team experience.
The striker failed to score in 22 appearances for The Hammers last term having initially impressed with the winning goal on his debut against Blackburn in March 2008.
