Dindane has foreign options

by Laurent Picard , 20 June 2009

Lens striker Aruna Dindane is heading to a foreign league, according to the French club's chairman, Gervais Martel.

The Ivory Coast international was strongly linked to Stoke, Portsmouth and West Brom during the January transfer window, and now that Les Sang et Ors have won Ligue 1 promotion, they are expected to cash in on the striker.

Martel is surprised by the lack of interest in Dindane from French sides, and he has confirmed that the African hit-man is on the brink of moving to a foreign league.

“He is a world-class player,” Martel told Le 10 Sport.

“Several clubs are after him.

“Apparently, he will move abroad.”

He added: “Aruna is back at full fitness. He is an interesting option, but the French clubs do not fancy him.”
