Heinze not against a return to England

by Laurent Picard , 22 June 2009

Real Madrid defender Gabriel Heinze has refused to close the door on a return to English football.

The Argentina international does not know if he is part of Florentino Perez’s project at Real Madrid, and he expects to hold talks with his directors.

Former Manchester United left back and Liverpool target Heinze has said he would not mind coming back to England, while playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka is also an option for him.

“I would not mind playing Premier League football again,” Heinze told Telam. “I am aware that several clubs are interested, but I must speak with Real Madrid first.

“I have no idea of where I am going to end up and I am yet to think about my future. I have a contract with Real Madrid and you have to have a professional attitude.

“For sure we will sit down and talk. Still I have one year left on my contract and sharing dressing rooms with amazing players will be great.”
