* More worrying signs for Liverpool fans as speculation grows of Javier Mascherano's agent spending TWO HOURS with Barcelona officials on Wednesday. Mind you, if Barca are willing to spend the £50m Benitez earmarked for the midfielder, that's not the worst piece of business in the world. Particularly when Nigel Reo-Coker is available(!)...

* The Rafa Benitez quotes about Ezequiel Lavezzi that were attributed to 'the English press' by TMW in Italy on Monday have now made their way full circle all the way to the Liverpool website. If the club's official source is now publishing them as fact then we can only suggest they are fully verified and the Spaniard does not want the Napoli star.

* Javier Mascherano's agent says the Liverpool midfielder would be interested in joining Barcelona.

* Tuncay is likely to be heading for the exit door this summer. But where will to Boro man end up. He hints where here.

* Some do quite like starting the day with a Brazilian, but to be honest i'm not keen. Ah well, you only live once. It's a Brazilian that goes by the name of Kleber. He said on Monday Liverpool had made an offer, but this has now been denied by his club. You can see for yourself here.

* The Daily Mirror reports that The Reds are hoping to tie up a deal for Tuncay Sanli.

* The Basque media is reporting that Athletic Bilbao are hoping to sign Reds defender Mikel San Jose for a fee in excess of £1 million.

* This Ezequiel Lavezzi character better sign for Liverpool after the amount of hard work we've put into following the saga. We've had people placed at airports and all sorts...we even spotted Michael Carrick missing his flight out to the European Cup final. The latest on Lavezzi is that he isn't happy with Napoli's directors...and Liverpool are waiting to swoop. Click here for more.

* Yossi Benayoun was a little maestro towards the end of the season and, unsurprisingly, says he's had offers to move elsewhere in England. But does he want to stay? Find out here.

* Right people, I want your thoughts on Xabi Alonso. Right here, right now, lay it on the line. Real Madrid's Florentino Perez has described as 'the best passer of the ball in Europe'. Personally - I'm taking my life into my own hands here - I think, much to the disgust of my colleagues, that he's overrated. Check out what Perez had to say about Alonso right here.

* We have been talking about one Ezequiel Lavezzi all day, with Liverpool fans calling for his arrival and the player himself stating he wants to stay at Napoli, but now we have concrete news, of sorts. Napoli have today signed Italy international Fabio Quagliarella from Udinese and it is certainly conceivable that the forward could be a possible replacement for the Argentinian.

* Word reaches us from Brazil that Cruzeiro's star striker Kleber has denied having any talks with Liverpool. It seems Sambafoot were saying an €8 million offer was on the table from Rafa Benitez's Reds. More on this when we get it.

* As promised, here are those quotes from Lavezzi. Now if I was a Liverpool fan I wouldn't be overly concerned, after all, how many times did Carlo Ancelotti say he was definitely staying at Milan?? Lavezzi is probably just underlining to the Napoli fans that he is loyal, before enjoying a massive pay hike at Anfield in a few weeks. That is my reading of it anyway, what about you guys?

* Oh dear Liverpool fans, we have been talking a bit about Ezequiel Lavezzi today but quotes have just materialised from the forward in which he claims he will turn down The Reds to stay at Napoli. More when we get it...
