The UEFA Under 21 Championship is held every two years and has been a starting-off point for some of Europe's best soccer players, including Petr Čech and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The UEFA U21 Championship format includes a qualifying stage followed by a final tournament. Players born on or after Jan. 1st, 1986 -- or who were 21 of age or younger when the qualifying stage began un May 2007 -- are eligible to represent their countries in the current tournament.
This year's competition includes host Sweden as well as England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belarus, Finland and Serbia.
