Ally McCoist has confirmed Rangers have made offers for Swedish winger Mervan Celik and St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza.
Gers are thought to have offered free agent Celik a deal worth £7,000-per-week, although they would be liable to pay former club GAIS £240,000 in training compensation.
"He's a young player we have looked at in recent months and he has impressed us. He's one that we would like to come here," said McCoist when asked about Celik.
"We have made an offer to the player's agent and we are just waiting on feedback and hopefully that can be agreed."
Rangers could also be on the verge of bringing in Sandaza, although not until the summer, after they tabled pre-contract terms ahead of his deal at McDiarmid Park coming to a conclusion at the end of the season.
"I spoke to [St Johnstone manager] Steve Lomas this morning just to let him know that we have put a pre-contract bid in for the end of the season when his contract is up," McCoist added.
"That's where we are and I think Sandaza's agent will be speaking to him on Monday or Tuesday next week."
The Rangers boss also confirmed that Estonian right back Enar Jaagar would undergo a trial with the club next week.
