Chelsea will complete a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Willian in the summer after increasing their offer.
The Blues failed with a £16million bid during the January transfer window as the Ukraine outfit held out for £29million, a figure the club were unwilling to match.
However, the chairman of Brazilian side Santos, Luis Alvaro, has now let the cat out of the bag after claiming he missed out on a deal because it has already been agreed with Chelsea.
"We gave up because of a proposal that they received from Chelsea,' he told Jornal da Manha.
"It was an offer of tens of millions of euros. It seems that he should go there in the middle of the year."
