Andre Villas-Boas says the defeat at Everton was Chelsea's worst performance of the season and understands the fans' frustration.
Chelsea's miserable season in the Premier League continued at Goodison Park and their chances of finishing in the Champions League places are looking even more remote.
Everton took the lead through Stephen Pienaar after just five minutes and the afternoon did not get any better before Denis Stracqualursi wrapped up the 2-0 win 18 minutes from time.
Villas-Boas says there are no positives to take from the game and expects the pressure to mount after the defeat.
"I think this was one of our worst games of the season, if not the worst,"
Villas-Boas revealed in his post match press conference. "In our performance we are short of anything positive.
"It is a difficult day for us, we take out a lot of negatives from this game."
The Portuguese also felt the wrath of the fans, who chanted 'you don't know what you're doing' after he replaced Michael Essien in the second half.
"It is part of the job. At the moment we are sitting fifth in the league and it is not enough for us," he added.
