Frank Lampard is to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, his agent Steve Kutner has confirmed.
Just last week Kutner was quoted as telling cittaceleste.it that Lampard would be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer only to deny the reports the same day.
Indeed, at the weekend it was reported that the club were willing to speak to the 34-year-old about a new deal, but Kutner has suggested "in no circumstances will he be offered a new contract".
"Chelsea executives told Frank in Japan during the Club World Cup then again reconfirmed with me after the Everton victory (last month) that in no circumstances will he be offered a new contract to stay at the club after the end of this season," said Kutner in several British newspapers.
"Nothing since has changed in any respect. Frank has had to accept that and just wants to carry on playing football for Chelsea so as to finish the season as successfully as possible for the club that he loves."
Chelsea fans are unhappy with the way Lampard is being treated and gave him a rousing reception when he scored the fifth goal in Saturday's FA Cup third round win over Southampton, a goal that saw him draw level with Kerry Dixon in the club's all-time goal scoring charts.
