Hull City sign Meyler, Brady

by Nick Royle , 08 January 2013

Ireland internationals Robbie Brady and David Meyler have signed permanent deals with Championship side Hull City.

Manchester United’s Brady, 20, and Sunderland’s Meyler, 23, have signed three-and-a-half year deals after successful loan spells on Humberside that saw the Tigers progress move up to second place in the league table.

“I’m delighted to announce I’ve signed for Hull City on a three and half year deal. Looking forward to pushing for promotion starting Saturday,” Meyler said on Twitter.

Meyler joined Sunderland in 2008 from Cork City and made 25 appearances for the Black Cats during his four years on Wearside.

Brady joined Manchester United in July 2008 and made one first-team appearance, coming on as a late substitute for Alexander Buttner in the Capital One Cup win over Newcastle at Old Trafford in September 2012.
