Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has had his red card for a challenge on Arsenal's Jack Wilshere rescinded by the FA.
City launched an immediate appeal after the Belgian defender saw red with 14 minutes remaining at the Emirates Stadium, and their claim for wrongful dismissal was upheld.
"An independent regulatory commission has today upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal regarding Manchester City's Vincent Kompany," read an FA statement.
"The defender was dismissed for serious foul play during his side's match against Arsenal on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
"As a result, Kompany's three-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect."
