Fortnight out for Scholes

by Michelle Fortune , 15 February 2013

Paul Scholes faces another fortnight on the sidelines as he battles to recover from a knee injury.

Scholes has been struggling with the problem in recent weeks and requires another two weeks out before he will be ready to return.

As a result he will miss the FA Cup fifth round clash with Reading as well as the Premier League game against QPR. He could sit out the home match against Norwich, while he is a major doubt for the Champions League second-leg against Real Madrid.

"It is a knee injury, which has been bothering him a bit, manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed.

"We have tried another treatment during the week. He will probably be back in another couple of weeks."
