Richard Hannon has decided against supplementing Esentepe for the Qipco 1000 Guineas on Sunday week.
The fillies Classic had been mentioned as a possible target for the daughter of Oratorio after she defeated Nayarra to land the Nell Gwyn Stakes on her second start of the season.
However, her owner's, the Middleham Park Racing syndicate, would have to pay £30,000 to enter her in the May 6 Classic and Middleham Park's Tim Palin has confirmed that is no longer the plan for the filly.
"Some of the owners might have got a bit excited but when we talked it over we decided not to supplement," Palin explained.
"She might go for the Musidora at York or there's a Group Three 1000 Guineas Trial over in Ireland in mid-May in which she would escape a penalty.
"We'll look at both races and then make a decision. She is entered in the Coronation Stakes, too.
"She's bred to be better at 10 furlongs as both her her sire and dam won over that trip.
"In essence, the further we have asked her to race the better she has been. Time will tell."
