A commanding second-half performance from Cork saw them retain the Allianz Football League Division One league title with a 2-10 to 0-11 win over Mayo.
Goals in the second period from Colm O'Neill and Aidan Walsh, and a commanding man-of-the-match performance from Ray Carey at corner-back, helped the Rebels turn a 0-9 to 0-5 deficit at half-time into an emphatic five point winning margin.
The result means that Cork manager Conor Counihan has now overseen four successive league wins, starting with the Division Two title in 2009 and following this with a hugely impressive three successive Division One crowns.
Mayo had been comfortably the best team in the first half with six points from Young Footballer of the Year Cillian O'Connor helping them into a commanding four point lead at the interval.
However, a whirlwind attacking display from the defending champions in the first 20 minutes of the second period including the two goals was enough to establish a healthy lead which Counihan's men never looked in any danger of relinquishing.
