Rangers are understood to be tracking Dinamo Bucharest star Cristian Pulhac, who can play as a left-back or as a left midfielder.
Pulhac, who has won three international for Romania, is expected to move on this summer for a fee in the region of £600,000 and his club say there have been discussions about his future.
Spanish side Getafe are also believed to have approached Dinamo over the 25-year-old, who is said to favour a move to Glasgow.
