Brimingham City captain Stephen Carr is set to make a return to first-team football for Sunday's home clash with Leicester City.

The 35-year-old has missed the Blues' last two games against NK Maribor and Nottingham Forest due to a knee injury.

Veteran Carr is expected to start in right-back as Brimingham face the tricky task of overcoming big spenders Leicester City.

"Stephen Carr will be available on Sunday" confirmed boss Chris Hughton.

However, central defender Curtis Davies remains sidelined with a knee problem.

Davies is expected to return in the next couple of weeks after continuing to make progress towards fitness.

Teenage midfielder Jordan Mutch, who is recovering from a broken ankle sustained in August, is also in sight of a return.

"Jordan is making good progress, but we knew that he would be out for a fairly long period," added Hughton.
