Forster deal imminent

Fraser Forster is close to sealing a permanent move to Celtic amid reports Newcastle have accepted a £2million bid for the goalkeeper.

Forster has been on loan at Celtic Park this season and has made it clear he does not want to stay at St James' Park long-term unless he can get regular first-team football.

The keeper has again impressed for Neil Lennon's side, after joining them for the second season in a row on loan, and now hopes are high that a permanent deal can be reached between the two clubs before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Reports in Newcastle say the Magpies have accepted a £2million offer from the SPL side and are now waiting on Forster to agree personal terms and make the move.

Forster has found his path to regular action at Newcastle blocked by the superb form of Tim Krul this season and the Premier League club have reluctantly allowed him to move on, despite rating the 23-year-old very highly.
