Felipe Massa has described the new Ferrari as "very ugly" and revealed it "needs a lot more work" ahead of the 2012 F1 season.
The Brazilian was underwhelmed with the response from the latest marquee to roll out of Maranello after day two of testing in Jerez and joined in criticism of how the car looks.
After completing 95 laps on Wednesday and finishing seventh quickest, 1.3secs behind Red Bull, Massa was less than complimentary with his assessment, ahead of the 2012 season-opener in Australia on March 18.
"It is a brand new car, not a car we have had over the last few years, a car that needs a lot more work, and a lot more things to try on it as well," said Massa.
When asked if the car felt as ugly from the inside as it looked on the outside, he replied: "That's because we don't see the front wing. We can't see this new step which is very ugly to be honest."
