Sebastian Vettel was pleased with the progress Red Bull made this week at Jerez, despite the car suffering an electrical failure on Friday morning.
Vettel took over driving duties from Mark Webber on Friday but the electrical issue ended his morning’s work after just two laps.
Nevertheless, Vettel managed a further 48 laps in the afternoon, and the German was content with the work that he and his squad did this week.
“I’m happy with the progress we’ve made,” said the double world champion. “I think we managed to get a lot done.
“Of course, (the) morning was a bit of a setback but these things happen. Something like this is simply part of testing, this is the reason why we are here. Of course we would like to get more laps done, but that can't be changed now.
"So we go back to the factory, look at everything we have learned from this week and prepare for the next test in Barcelona, where I’m looking forward to putting some more miles on the car.”
Pre-season testing resumes on February 21 at the Circuit de Catalunya.
