What must England be thinking?

by Graham Gooch , 15 December 2008

England played really well in this Test having had no preparation and despite all the things going on around them.

Let’s take the positives – Andrew Strauss got two 100s and England’s form in the test was generally very, very good in every aspect.

But you’ve got to give credit to India – they are the form team at the moment. To chase down that score on the last day shows great effort and skill.

Sachin Tendulkar might be coming to the last phase of his career but he’s still the star player in that side. He’s got all that knowledge and ability and knows how to win matches.

From a cricket lover’s point of view it’s great to see him still at the top of his game.

I don’t know what England will be thinking in that dressing room because they would have been thinking in that last innings that they were the favourites to win that game.
