Ayegbeni Yakubu says he is recovering from the Achilles injury that kept him out of the side and he's slowly getting back to his best.
The striker netted his fourth goal of the season against Birmingham at the weekend and is slowly getting himself back to the sort of form and fitness that has made him such a fans favorite since rupturing his Achilles in November 2008.
He made his first return back in September and it is a slow process to recover from such an injury but he is now making progress and was happy to get on the score sheet at Birmingham.
He told the Post:"I was pleased to get one and it's so good to be back. I was disappointed after the Hull game but the manager said to me 'you have to keep the goals for when it really matters.
"As a striker you have to be strong in the head and when you get a chance to play you have to take it."
