Kildare manager Kieran McGeeney was left fuming after his side lost out to Down in Sunday's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final at Croke Park.
At a crucial stage of the game, Down's Benny Coulter scored a fisted goal, but replays clearly showed that the three-pointer should have been disallowed for a square-ball.
The incident, along with a score from Alan Smith that was adjudged to have gone wide, upset McGeeney.
"We have spent the last two weeks being told that (selector) Aidan O'Rourke crossed the line 22 times or 23 times (against Meath)," said the former Armagh star following his side's 16-14 defeat.
"We have a fella who watches that and they can't tell whether a ball is over the bar, or they can't tell if it was a square ball. Idiots.
"But, that's administration at its best.
"It's a shame because you're taking away from people like Benny Coulter who shows great courage going for those type of balls and the work rate of Danny Hughes and Kalum King. Down were outstanding today. You can't take it away from them."
Rob Kelly came within inches of winning the clash for Kildare, when he struck the crossbar via King's fingertips in injury time, and McGeeney admitted the nature of the defeat hurt.
"It is gut-wrenching for the boys," he said.
"I feel like there is a hole in me that can't be filled. I cannot imagine what it is like for the fellas. They threw their heart and soul into it."
