Everton defender Sylvain Distin expects the club to soon get the results their performances merit.
The Toffees sit in the bottom three of the Premier League with just one point from their first three games, but it is widely acknowledged that their efforts have deserved more, not least a close-to-dominant display in their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Vila Park last Sunday.
Frenchman Distin is not panicking, however, the former Portsmouth star saying that the side are genuinely happy with how they have been playing and they are all confident that the right rewards are just around the corner.
"It's a mixed feeling for us,” Distin was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Post.
"It's frustrating because the results are not really what we expect. Altogether though, I think we've played quite well.
"We haven't scored enough and conceded a goal each game, but it's strange because everyone feels like we are doing okay.
"We are missing one or two little things to get the end result but playing decently. Sometimes it needs just a lucky goal. We know that we will win very soon and we all want it badly."
