Ancelotti confident over England duo

by Admin , 07 September 2010

Carlo Ancelotti is confident John Terry and Frank Lampard will be fit in time for Saturday's match against West Ham United.

Former England skipper Terry was ruled out of the internationals against Bulgaria and Switzerland with a hamstring injury while Lampard had to undergo a hernia operation following their 2-0 victory over Stoke at Stamford Bridge at the end of August.

However, they appear to be recovering from their setbacks quickly, with Terry likely to play a part.

"Lampard had surgery on Tuesday and I think that he will start to train this week," he said.

"I don't know when but we will see how he trains and we will take a decision for the game against West Ham.

"Terry didn't have surgery but he used the last week to improve his hamstring.

"He will start to train with the squad this week, maybe Tuesday, and I think he will be able to play against West Ham.'
