Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with West Ham over the potential transfer of Scott Parker, Hammers manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed.
Parker has made no secret of his desire to return to the Barclays Premier League to further his England career and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is a keen admirer of the player.
The 64-year-old has been linked with a move for the former Chelsea man all summer and also failed with a bid to sign him last year but is determined to bring him to White Hart Lane this year, it appears.
With the transfer window closing on Wednesday night, Allardyce is keen to move on Parker in order to fund new signings.
The former Blackburn boss confirmed talks had begun over a deal.
When asked whether negotiations were taking place between the two London clubs over a deal for the midfielder, Allardyce said: "I am not in talks (personally) with them but there is some dialogue going on at the moment. That is all I am aware of."
