Sweden U21 international Mervan Celik has completed his free transfer move to Rangers.
Celik, whos was out of contract after leaving GAIS last month, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the SPL champions after holding initial talks with Gers boss Ally McCoist a month ago.
The 21-year-old, who can play on either wing, scored 14 goals in 27 appearances for GAIS last campaign and his agent revealed that Rangers have beaten off interest from numerous clubs to sign him.
"We have agreed a deal in principle with Rangers and we have agreed all conditions," Hasan Cetinkaya told STV before the move was confirmed.
"It is a three-and-a-half year contract. We have had a lot of offers for Mervan, 12-13 concrete offers from clubs from big leagues.
"But when Mervan and I went to Glasgow one month ago, we got a very good impression from Rangers and Ally McCoist. McCoist was the key reason to this transfer."
