Roger Federer is keen to push on and fight for a 17th Grand Slam title after being knocked out of the Australian Open by Rafael Nadal.
The Swiss maestro took the opening set in his semi-final meeting with Nadal in Melbourne on Thursday, before slipping to a 3-1 defeat.
Federer has now lost eight of his 10 Grand Slam meetings with the Spaniard to date.
Nadal's record over Federer and the emergence of Novak Djokovic as a serial Grand Slam winner has led many to question whether the 30-year-old still has what it takes to land one of the top prizes in tennis.
However, Federer insists he will not give up on his pursuit of further Grand Slam titles, with his last major honour the Australian Open title in 2010.
"I haven't lost in five months or something, you know. It's not that bad. Don't feel too sorry for me," said Federer.
"Obviously I would have loved to have come through and gotten a crack, a chance at winning the title here again.
"It's been one of the most successful tournaments in my life here - it's the ninth time straight I am in the semi-finals.
"Clearly I'm disappointed. But, then again, important is the reaction from now. Where do I go from here? Start planning other trips.
"Start planning the preparations and, again, have a good reaction like I showed after the US Open."
Nadal will face the winner of Friday's semi-final between Britain's Andy Murray and world number one Novak Djokovic on Sunday.
