Martinez rules out double exit

by Setanta Staff , 30 January 2012 Martinez rules out double exit

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has insisted Victor Moses and James McCarthy will not be sold before the window closes.

Queens Park Rangers are being strongly linked with a move for Moses while a host of Premier League clubs are also keen on McCarthy, who has impressed in the Latics midfield.

Bids are expected before the deadline but Martinez says it would be crazy to cash in on the duo as the club battle for Premier League survival between now and the end of the season.

"Victor Moses is not for sale. He is one of the biggest assets we have at the club," said the Spaniard.

"He is one of the players who represent Wigan [in terms of what the club stands for] as he is young with fantastic potential and has had great development in the last season or so.

"He is not on the market, he is not for sale and that is the end of the matter.

"Victor and James are the two younger players in this football club and it would be wrong for us to sell these assets."
