Bolton have failed with their attempts to sign Wilfried Zaha after Crystal Palace rejected a bid in the region of £5million.
Wanderers boss Owen Coyle made the talented 19-year-old his top transfer target of the window and was hoping to strike a deal with the Eagles before tonight's 11pm deadline.
However Palace have rejected Bolton's offer, which is believed to have involved a down payment of £5million plus a share of any profits made on the winger if sold in the future, and the deal now appears to be dead.
Coyle has said he will not pay over the odds for any player and that now looks to be the end of the deal unless Palace lower their valuation, which is thought to be £10million.
