Anderson issues positive bulletin

James Anderson is adamant that there is no doom and gloom in the England camp and they are focused on winning the final Test.

Pakistan have already claimed the three-match series with victories in the first two Tests in Dubai and Abu Dhabi an they will be looking for a clean sweep when battle resumes back in Dubai on Friday.

England went into the series as the number one-ranked Test side after a superb couple of years in the five-day game.

But their old failings against spin in Asian conditions has come back to haunt them once again and they have been unable to deal with Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman or Mohammad Hafeez.

The England players looked shell-shocked after being dismissed for just 72 in the second innings last time out to surrender the series but Anderson insists there will be no hangover on Friday as they look to salvage something from the series.

"The mood is still pretty good considering the position we're in," he said. "We're just really concentrating on how we're going to win this game starting on Friday."

The England batsmen have been trying to work out how to survive and score runs against the Asian side's slow bowlers since the second Test defeat and they now want to get back on the pitch and try to execute their skills.

"There has been a lot of talk about that," added Anderson. "We've practised hard the last couple of days and we're just really looking forward to getting on with things on Friday now."
