Manchester City's Carlos Tevez plans to play for Boca Juniors in a testimonial match and could be punished further by City.
City have already hit Tevez with a £1.2million fine, which the Argentine striker has already appealed against, and the 27-year-old could be punished further by the club if he goes ahead with his plans to play for Boca.
Tevez plans to play in a testimonial match for Boca star Martin Palermo this Saturday, and the president of the Buenos Aires club Daniel Angelici admits he would welcome the capture of Tevez on a permanent basis.
"If Tevez arrives for free then we would be happy to have him," Angelici told Todo Noticias. "If Manchester City call us and say that they need him to play games, our doors are always open."
Tevez failed to secure a January exit from the Etihad Stadium desite interest from Inter Milan, AC Milan and Paris saint-Germain.
However, following City's defeat at Everton on Tuesday boss Roberto Mancini refused to rule out the possibility that Tevez could return to the squad, although it appears highly unlikely.
Mancini said: "I don't know his (Tevez) condition, so I don't know at this moment if he can rejoin the squad, and I don't know if he will have to apologise. At this moment I am just thinking about my mistake (regarding the defeat at Everton)."
