Felipe Massa has described the F2012 as part of his dreams as he aims to be more aggressive this year.
Ferrari were forced to cancel their planned launch of the F2012 due to heavy snow at Maranello but the covers were taken off the car on the website and it will have come as a surprise to many.
The car features an aggressive step in its nose, which is designed to comply with regulations over the height of the nose, and while some believe it is ugly, Massa is of the opinion that the F2012 will prove competitive.
"Let me tell you that it looks really, really aggressive," said Massa.
"This was part of my dreams. I know there was quite a lot of brainstorming when it comes to the new car. We always wanted to develop new models so I am impressed with the new car.
"We start in a few days and I am sure the championship will be stunning and very competitive."
Massa has been left in no doubt as to the task he is facing in 2012 with both team principal Stefano Domenicali and Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo warning the Brazilian that his future in the team depends on his performances.
If he is feeling any pressure Massa is refusing to show it and he insists he is in confident mood ahead of the new season.
"It is going to be an important year for me and whole team, 2012, this is going to be the victory year," he said.
"We want to fight to get the championship back. I want to be believe in my skills and our car and this is the right thing to do.
"We want to see Ferrari winning as often as possible. Here I feel a strength, I'm focused on winning. There's plenty of positive things in my head and I want to start in the right way and get to the end of the championship in a better way."
Di Montezemolo added: "He knows as much as we know that he has to do something great, something better after a not-so-positive season.
"We are offering him the best conditions to do a great job."
