Doyle wants more of the same

Kevin Doyle is hoping that Wolves can now push on and start picking up more Premier League points after their victory over QPR.

The Midlanders had not won a top-flight game in nine attempts prior to the weekend's success at Loftus Road - a result which has seen Mick McCarthy's men move out of the relegation zone and into 17th place in the table.

Doyle came off the bench to score the winner after Matt Jarvis had cancelled out Bobby Zamora's opener and the Molineux outfit now have 21 points from 24 games played.

There is still a long way to go for Wolves to secure their Premier League status but they do have a number of 'winnable' games coming up in the next few weeks, with clashes against Fulham, Blackburn, Norwich and Bolton.

And they face another side slipping ever nearer to the danger zone when West Brom come calling on Sunday, and Doyle feels it is imperative to keep up the winning habit to get to the magical 40-point mark.

"Three points at the weekend was good but will mean nothing if we carry on over the next few weeks and don't get anything," said the Republic of Ireland international.

"We can't let the win at QPR be a one-off. That's the message we've all got to learn. There's still a long way to go and we still need more wins."
