PSG boss admits Tevez talks stalled

by Setanta Staff , 11 February 2012 football news

Carlo Ancelotti reckons Paris St Germain are never likely to agree a deal with Carlos Tevez due to the player's wage demands.

The Argentinean striker has been out of the first-team plans at Manchester City ever since September, when he allegedly refused to come on as substitute in a Champions League game with Bayern Munich.

Tevez has been linked with moves to PSG, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala, however nothing has come to fruition and the forward remains in limbo.

Ancelotti told BBC Sport that representatives from PSG have spoken to Tevez, but the Argentinian's wage demands - he currently earns an estimated £200,000 a week at City - hampered things, however they could approach him again the summer.

But the Italian manager admitted it is unlikely a deal would ever be agreed unless Tevez changes his demands.

"We spoke with his agent - we wanted to have him - but we couldn't reach an agreement," Ancelotti said.

"I don't think he'll change his idea about how much he wants to earn."

He added: "Now we wait and in the summer transfer window we will have more possibilities."
