Roberto Martinez is confident Wigan can avoid relegation from the Premier League following Saturday's crucial 2-1 win at Bolton.
Wigan stay bottom of the Premier League but the win has tightened things up with just two points now separating the bottom five clubs going into the final 13 games of the season.
Gary Caldwell got the ball rolling just before half time with a powerful header before a wonder strike from Mark Davies levelled matters midway through the second half.
However Wigan plugged away and when James McArthur bagged the winner 14 minutes from time, it was the least they deserved.
It was the manner of the victory that pleased Martinez the most as they completely bossed the game at the Reebok Stadium and fully deserved their victory.
The Spaniard is now calling on his players to reproduce that level of performance week in week out as they attempt to climb out of the bottom three and on to safety.
"The three points were important but more important was how we got them," Martinez revealed after the game. "We looked like the home team and a real threat every time we went forward.
"Even when Mark Davies got his incredible goal it didn't affect us too much. We just stepped it up and found a way to go and get the winner.
"We know that from now until the end of the season we've got 13 cup finals and it's about ourselves. Today is an example of what we have to do from now until the end of the season."
