Lowe eyes survival surge

Blackburn midfielder Jason Lowe is confident his side can beat the drop after securing a win over QPR last time out.

Lowe believes Rovers can take confidence from their win over relegation rivals QPR and insists his side have what it takes to remain in the top flight.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been hit with a two game suspension after picking up his 10th booking of the season in the 3-2 win over QPR, meaning he will miss the trip to Manchester City on February 25 and Aston Villa's visit the following week.

However, Lowe has faith his team-mates can pick up points in his absence and the young midfielder is eager to play his part in Blackburn's survival push as he is well aware of how important the club is to the town.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Blackburn Rovers is the main thing that happens in the town and we'll do everything we can to make sure we stay in this league. "

I'm confident we can do that, we just have to keep producing performances and take our chances, and try to get the clean sheets on the board.

That's what's going to get us out of there."
