James Vaughan says he is keen to establish himself in the Norwich team after making his comeback from a knee injury against Leicester.
The 23-year-old has hardly featured for the Canaries since his summer switch from Everton, picking up a knee injury in pre-season which meant he started the campaign late.
When Vaughan did get a taste of the action he suffered yet another knee injury, this time much more serious, in the 2-1 win over Sunderland in September.
Having been sidelined for the best part of five months the English forward made a long-awaited return to action in the FA Cup clash with Leicester, coming off the bench in the second half.
While Vaughan admits he was disappointed he couldn't stop Norwich being eliminated by Leicester he was happy to finally get back to first team action.
"It was all about trying to get through today and we're disappointed on that front," he told Canaries Player.
"I've worked hard and hopefully now I can come back and help the team push on at the end of the season.
"You've just got to keep working hard - I've got good friends and family around me that have kept me strong.
"It has paid off, I got back onto the pitch, and hopefully I can help the team."
