Etuhu hails Jol's style

by Setanta Staff , 21 February 2012 Etuhu hails Jol's style

Dickson Etuhu has hailed Fulham boss Martin Jol's impact on their playing style and backed him to take the club to the next level.

The Nigeria international midfielder has been at Craven Cottage since 2008 and has seen plenty of managerial changes during that time with Jol the club's fifth manager in as many years.

And, while some eyebrows were raised when the Dutch tactician allowed star striker Bobby Zamora to depart the club for rivals QPR in the January transfer window, Etuhu claims players such as Bryan Ruiz and recent signing Pavel Pogrebynyak will help fill the void.

Etuhu also believes Jol is now creating a squad which will ultimately improve their attacking style of play and help push them higher up the Premier League so they can be regularly challenging for a European place.

Speaking at the Sony Playstation Fifa 2012 Interactive World Cup UK qualifiers, Etuhu told Football FanCast: "Martin Jol is big on his attacking football, the man loves proper football, he loves flair, he loves us keeping the ball and he loves to entertain the crowd.

"I think you cans see that in the type of players that he's bringing into the club; we're getting better to watch, especially away from home, we're not as boring as we used to be and that's something that he's brought to the team."
