Alastair Cook and Steven Finn have both leapt into the top 10 ICC one-day rankings after their heroics against Pakistan in the UAE.
Cook led the tourists to a 4-0 whitewash in the 50-over contests just a couple of week after England were hammered 3-0 by the same opposition in the Test series.
The Essex batsman put in a captain's performance with two centuries and another score of 80 as he made a mockery of England's struggles against the Asian spinners in the five-day contests.
Finn did not play in the Tests but returned to take 13 wickets in the ODIs and may well have played his way back into the Test side after more than a year in the wildness.
Cook has moved up 27 places to eighth in the batting rankings, while Finn has climbed 67 places to ninth.
Kevin Pietersen, who bounced back to form with two hundreds in the last two fixtures, also progressed from 48th to 26th.
