Yes, the Setanta Sports channel is available in many pubs, restaurants and clubs. Use the Setanta Sports channel venue finder to find a pub with Setanta Sports.

Do you show live Barclays Premier League matches?
Yes. Setanta Sports' extensive lineup includes live rights to more than 100 Barclays Premier League matches per season. When two great live fixtures clash, we will on some occasions be able to broadcast both at the same time. Please check our website www.setanta.com for additional Barclays Premier League matches that will be broadcast on Setanta Xtra (DIRECTV channel 622). DIRECTV is the only platform that offers Setanta Xtra. We also have MUTV and Chelsea TV, which show EVERY Premiership & Champions League match that Manchester United & Chelsea play, delayed.

Do you show every Premiership & Champions League match that Chelsea & Manchester United play?
Setanta Sports airs comprehensive live coverage of both teams. Also, through Chelsea TV & MUTV, any match that we cannot show live will be shown delayed.

How many Champions League matches will Setanta Sports channel show?
Champions League matches are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every other week. Another broadcaster has first rights to the Champions League. They pick one match from Tuesday and one match from Wednesday,and then Setanta Sports picks our matches. Setanta Premium will show some of the matches live in pubs/clubs only on closed circuit TV and then the Setanta Sports channel will show those matches on a delayed basis. The Setanta Sports channel will show one match from Tuesday live and one match from Wednesday live. If the other broadcaster picks either Chelsea or Manchester United, we will then show these matches on a delayed basis on Chelsea TV or MUTV. The Setanta Sports channel has exclusive rights in the US to Chelsea TV and MUTV, so subscribers will see every Premiership & every Champions League match that Chelsea and MUTV play.

What World Cup Qualifier coverage does Setanta Sports offer?
Setanta Sports offers extensive coverage of the path to the 2010 World Cup tournament in South Africa. The channel will feature live matches from European teams on qualifier days -- England and Ireland matches will be delayed. South American matches will also be shown on the channel delayed.

What other leagues and competitions does Setanta Sports show?
Setanta Sports covers a wealth of other programming on top of the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and World Cup Qualifiers, including live and delayed coverage of the Carling Cup, Le Championnat, the Russian Premier League, the English Coca-Cola Championship, and the Scottish Premier League. Beyond the soccer programs, Setanta Sports airs all major Rugby Union and the GAA. The channel provides the very best Rugby Union coverage available in this hemisphere, showing the Heineken Cup, Guinness Premiership, Magners League, Super 14, Tri Nations, British & Irish Lions, and much more! Also, catch the GAA throughout the seasons.

Does Setanta Sports show more than just the matches?
Yes, the channel features numerous magazines and highlight shows such as The Football League Show, Press Box, Setanta Sports News, and Special 1 TV.

When will you be in HD?
Very little of the product we show is in HD because European pictures are better than SD, and they are not moving as fast into it. For example, only one Barclays Premier League game a week is offered in HD and the access and cost of bringing it in would mean we would need to charge $50 per person to make this option work. We know no one would pay that amount, and the third parties like DIRECTV, etc., will not give us the bandwidth necessary to do it. We're looking into offering a SVOD HD product 2010-2011 when more of the product we offer is available.

What is the subscription fee?
Generally, it's 14.99 USD/month for residential customers. From $100/month for business customers (pubs, clubs, private offices etc.) – DIRECTV only.

Is Setanta Xtra only available through DIRECTV?
Yes, Setanta Xtra is currently only included with subscription through DIRECTV. Setanta Xtra is on DIRECTV channel 622. Currently this is the only way to watch Setanta Xtra, although many of the matches on Setanta Xtra are also on Setanta Broadband 2, available through Setanta-i.

Are these carriers the only way to watch Setanta Sports?
No, you can also watch it online through Setanta-i. And if you want to view the Setanta Sports channel outside of your home, you can watch the channel at numerous pubs and clubs across the US, as well as in Canada. To find a venue near you, choose TV Listings at the top orf every page on this site. Then select Venue Finder in the menu in the upper right hand corner of the page. Many of these Pubs also carry Setanta Premium.

Will another cable or satellite provider carry the Setanta Sports channel?
Yes, especially if you phone then or email them and request it. If you email them, we would be obliged if you would 'cc' customerservice-usa@setanta.com as well.

Is there a minimum period for a Setanta Sports subscription?
Contact your carrier to their policy as minimum periods may be set by the individual carrier, but not by Setanta Sports.

What is Setanta Sports?
Setanta Sports was established in 1996 in the United States. It began as a pay-per-view and closed-circuit television business and was extremely successful in providing a passionate audience (primarily European expatriates) with live sports broadcasts in pubs and clubs across the country. On April 26, 2005 a full sports television channel dedicated to European and international football, world-class rugby and other sports was established. The channel successfully launched with the live broadcast of the Champions League on DIRECTV and WorldTV as a premium channel.
