Curbs set for Tigers post

by Admin , 20 June 2010

Reports today suggest former Charlton and West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has been approached to take over at relegated Hull City.

Tigers chairman Adam Pearson is believed to have sounded out 52-year-old as he looks for the right man to steer the club back into the Premier League at the first attempt.

Curbishley has been out of work since quitting the West Ham in September 2008 in a dispute over player transfers.

He would replace Ian Dowie, who took over from Phil Brown for the final nine games of last season but was told this week he would not be considered for the role full time.

Cardiff boss David Jones and former Portsmouth manager Paul Hart were considered favourites for the job at the KC Stadium, but it now appears Curbishley is the new frontrunner.
