The PGA Tour moves to a new course this week when the Old White Course plays host to the Greenbrier Classic and as a result there are few clues on offer as to which way the tournament could pan out.
Low scores are being predicted with some suggesting the winning score could be very close to 20-under, but this will not become clear until the first few groups tee off on Thursday.
The lack of information on the Old White Course makes it difficult to assess how some players will fare so for that reason it is sensible to go for a golfer who has been in good form of late.
Matt Kuchar finished in a tie for fourth-place at the Canadian Open last week and as that was a similar course to the one on show this weekend, it would be unsurprising to see the American take the title.
Kuchar has only missed two cuts in 2010 and has finished in the top ten eight times, including in each of his five last starts. A first win of the season remains a target as does a place on the US Ryder Cup team and you could do worse than going for the American.
Jim Furyk has a tendency to do well on shorter layouts and he too has been in good form this year, although he has dropped off the pace lately. That aside, he is playing close to home and is worth considering given his previous experience.
Jeff Overton, meanwhile, has finished in the top three in four of his nine starts and also has a tie for 11th at the British Open. He has yet to win on the PGA Tour and it could be a big ask for him to end his losing streak this week, but he is consistent and is likely to be there or thereabouts come Sunday.
Another who has been ultra consistent in recent weeks is Charlie Wi, who was fourth at the AT&T National and tied for fourth at the Canadian Open, and he could finally come good this week.
