Snapper captures All Blacks gameplan

by Setanta Staff , 28 July 2010

A photographer has captured a page of New Zealand's playbook for Saturday's Tri-Nations clash with Australia, but the Wallabies insist they will not look at the photograph.

The snapper captured the image of the sheet of paper, which contained tactical information, as it was being held by All Blacks coach Graham Henry during Tuesday's training run.

The image details five different tactical plays and the incident has heightened tension between the two sides ahead of the trans-Tasman encounter in Melbourne.

New Zealand assistant coach Steve Hansen has slammed the incident but he insists that it will not make much difference to the All Blacks' plans for the match.

"The good thing about it is yesterday was a defensive training day so we won't have to change our tactics too much," he said.

"There are a whole lot of things that are going to happen on Saturday night and I don't think one photo is going to make too much difference."

Australia assistant coach Jim Williams has revealed that neither he nor anyone linked with the team will look at the controversial photograph.

"I wouldn't read too much into it myself and I probably won't even bother looking at it. It's a picture of training and that's how I'll leave it," Williams announced.

"Teams will try to put a little bit of focus on the opposition but realistically it's about how you prepare and what you want to do during the game."
