The head coach of UK Athletics Charles van Commenee has criticised a number of British athletes who failed to win medals in Daegu.
The GB team managed to win seven medals at the World Championships but Van Commenee has singled out a number of athletes who didn't meet exceptions in South Korea.
While gold medal hopefuls Jessica Ennis and Phillips Idowu had to settle for silver, other athletes fell well short of their targets for the competition including both the men's relay teams and 800m runner Jenny Meadows who failed to make the final.
The Dutchman says that certain individuals need to look at themselves and that as a group the squad must improve ahead of the Olympics.
"Of the athletes that should be close to medals, a number have underperformed," Van Commenee told BBC Sport. "Of course I'm disappointed, especially in the jumps and the men's relays.
"The 4x4 was appalling, no real effort, unforgivable really, and of course we expected an athlete in the 800m final for women".
