UEFA have charged Celtic for the 'displaying of an offensive banner and setting off of fireworks by fans' during the Udinese game.
European football's governing body confirmed the charge on Monday morning following the Hoops' final Europa League Group I match in Italy last Thursday.
The case will be heard by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on January 26.
It is the second charge for Celtic after they were fined just under £13,000 having been found guilty after their fans sang pro-IRA songs in their game against Rennes on November 3.
