Beram Kayal and new signing Mikael Lustig will miss Celtic's Scottish Premier League trip to face Dunfermline on Monday.
Assistant manager Johan Mjallby confirmed that Israel midfielder, Kayal, is possibly facing up to 10 days on the sidelines after he was carried off on a stretcher in the 1-0 win over Rangers on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Swedish right-back Lustig, who was officially unveiled as the Hoops' newest addition after signing from Norwegian side Rosenborg, will not play but he is delighted to be at the Glasgow giants.
Lustig, who witnessed Celtic's 1-0 Old Firm win against Rangers on Wednesday, told the club's website: "I have been waiting for this moment for two months now and it feels really good to finally be here.
"
I first heard Celtic were interested in me a year and a half ago so I watched a lot of their games and it always felt like a good club for me.
"Henrik Larsson put Celtic on to the map in Sweden so I had already seen many of their games and there are many fans who already cheer them on. I didn't speak to him about my move but I've heard him say a lot of good things about the club and Glasgow."
Lustig added: "If I am needed at centre-back then I can play there but I am a right-back and that's where I want to play. I am quite an offensive player. I want to score goals and make good passes and I think the way Celtic play will suit me well.
"
It will probably be difficult for me to get into the starting line-up but I hope it is because then it means we have good players here.
We want to go to the Champions League and win the title, and if you want that it is going to be hard to get into the team.
"I come from Rosenborg, in Norway, and it's like Celtic where there is pressure in every game. We wanted to win the league every day there and it's going to be the same here."
