Defending champions Leinster will play the Cardiff Blues in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals, while Munster and Ulster will face off in an all-Irish meeting.
Sunday saw Saracens, Edinburgh and Cardiff all join the Irish trio and French pair Toulouse and Clermont Auvergne in the last eight, with Sarries and Edinburgh’s victories ensuring home ties for them in the first round of knockout games.
Leinster were unbeaten in Pool 3 and will play the Blues – one of the two best runners-up along with Ulster – at home on the weekend of April 6-8. Munster, meanwhile, completed a fantastic six wins out of six in Pool 1 when they beat last year’s runners-up Northampton on Saturday. They will host their fellow Irishmen Ulster on the same weekend.
The other quarter-finals see Pool 2 winners Edinbugh host 2010 champions and Pool 6 winners Toulouse, while Clermont – who topped Pool 4 by beating Ulster this weekend – will travel to England to meet Pool 5 winners Saracens, who are the only Aviva Premiership side to have made the last eight.
The semi-final outcomes can also be guessed at now, with Leinster or Cardiff to travel to play Saracens or Clermont, while the winners of Munster v Ulster will have a home semi-final against Edinburgh or Toulouse.
Meanwhile, Sunday also saw the pairing for the last eight of the Amlin Challenge Cup decided, with Scarlets, Biarritz and Harlequins dropping into that competition from the Heineken Cup.
