Crouch set for anxious wait

by Setanta Staff , 24 January 2012 Crouch set for anxious wait

Peter Crouch should find out later today if he's to be banned for an alleged eye-gouge.

The incident took place during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to West Brom.

The FA have decided to review video evidence of the incident involving Jonas Olssen and if found guilty of violent conduct, Crouch would face a three-match ban.

If he were to accept the charge, he would be suspended from the FA Cup tie at Derby, plus the Premier League trip to Manchester United and the home match with Sunderland on February 4.
