Wenger hopes for injury boost

Arsene Wenger says his Arsenal squad will be able to compete on all fronts once his injured players return to action.

Arsenal are battling for a place in the top four, while they still have a chance of winning the FA Cup or Champions League and Wenger knows he will need a strong squad.

The Frenchman has been rocked by the news that Jack Wilshere is facing another spell on the sidelines but he has been boosted by the return of Mikel Arteta while Kieran Gibbs is not far away either.

"Combining the league, FA Cup and Champions League will be difficult so it is important we don't have more injuries," said the Frenchman.

"We now have Sagna back, Gibbs is not far, Arteta is back so overall I hope we can cope with it."
